The genus Cyrtomium includes about 40 species, native to Eastern Asia. It belongs to the Dryopteridaceae family.It is characterized by evergreen fronds, once-pinnate, oblong. The pinnae are quite broad, leathery texture. Sori are scattered randomly on the underside of the pinnae, with peltate indusia.
