A dramatic fern with sturdy, glossy, spreading fronds, very ondulate, red when they are young and slowly turning to green. The fronds produce, at the apex, one or two buds. Place it in a deep soil, soft and moist, acidic or slightly alkaline, in medium shade. Evergreen. Width : 3m. Hardiness : -17°C (in open ground).
